Great Egret!

Great Egret looking for lunch on the Tenn-Tom River in North Mississippi.
Do you ever wish you had a bigger lens? One that can just reach out and touch everything! Well more and better equipement doesn't always make for better pictures, but it sure seems to help sometimes!

"Maybe because it's entirely an artist's eye, patience and skill that makes an image and not his tools."

I think it's a marvelous shot, Randy - that egret looks great in there among the stumps !

I saved all my earnings from refereeing hockey for a year and bought the best 70-200mm Canon lens I could get (f2.8L IS). I'm very happy with its capabilities - here's an egret I 'shot' in Florida. I agree with Ken's comment - to a point

Thanks for the comment Rick. Your Snowy Egret shots are outstanding! I almost didn't post the quote from Ken because I am like you, "to a point". But it seemed to fit my thoughts and I went ahead with it. Hope you have a great weekend and keep those great pictures coming. You give us amatueurs inspiration.
